To the Secretary, Banora Golf Club, (formerly Twin Towns Golf Club?)
I’m Frank Cronshaw’s eldest daughter, Susan Cronshaw and hoping you can help me.
Sadly, dad/ Frank passed away on Sunday, 23 September aged 89 years. He retired to the Gold Coast after serving in the NT Police for 36 years.
Frank was a keen golfer and active member of the Twin Towns Golf Club late 1980s – about 2000 and the Darwin Golf Club in the 1960s – 1980s. I was wondering if it would be easy for you to check your records and email me details of any of the following please.
• committee positions and dates he held
• championships he’d won and dates
• his handicap
• photos of him playing golf / at the club
His funeral will be 31 October on the Gold Coast and it would be great if we could put the following notice in your newsletter to let old club ties know. I can provide a recent photo of him as a jpg.

Our greens have small and large areas of COOCH all over them. They were just done up recently, why wasn’t this serious problem fixed then, It won’t take long and we will be putting on cooch greens rather than 328. On the 7th green there is one patch 2.5 to 3.0 metres long and about 500mm. wide. Come on twin towns lift your game.

Hello Ken, I would like to make a comment on make changes to the Fairways when a competition is in play Last Thursday20th Oct was a prim example in the Ladies competition when a bob cat came down the 12th hole towards us, a tracker with soil dumping it on the fairway the driver of the boob cat didn’t give us right away as we were playing that hole. If the Fairway is changed the groups behind had to encounter the soil, across the Fairway all the ground staff had to do was to wait another hour and a half so the Ladies could have finished their game The course is closed next week why this could not be worked out to upgrade the 12th until next week. Lets reminder everyone the Ladies are part of the continuance of the Banora Point Golf Club
Ken,
I would like to thank you for your comments on my game coming runner up with the Vets on Monday.
Due to personal issues I have not been able to play a great deal and it is only lately that I have been able to play a bit more.
It is encouraging to get great feed back on your game.
Whilst my game is far from the standard it should be I am encouraged to improve
Regards & best wishes
