Some players are thinking that it is okay to leave the course and not get penalized. The only time you can leave the course is. I. Through illness, 2. Family emergency 3. A storm with lightning 4. If the Committee or The Course Curator closes it for whatever reason.
Rule 5.7a covers the stopping of play. The penalty is determined by the Committee not the player/s in question.

Provisional GA Handicap.
A handicap will lose it’s full status in the event that a player should accrue in their most recent 20 Actual Scores. Five or more entries with a status of NO SCORE-NOT APPROVED.(Note full status is automatically regained upon the number of ‘NO SCORE – NOT APPROVED entries in the players most recent 20 actual scores decreasing to FOUR or less).Such a handicap will be known as a “Provisional GA Handicap”. GA recommends that players with Provisional GA Handicaps will not be eligible to win prizes in competitions which have a Condition of Entry a requirement that competitors hold GA Handicaps.
Hope this clears up a few misconceptions. IF you do not understand this rule please ask Clint Dunn or myself to explain it to you.

The early morning players copped some heavy showers and wind this morning, resulting in a few members not finishing. Sixty one players. To day I witnessed four players taking shelter on the verandah of the toilet at the machinery shed during the heavy rain this morning. Under the rules of golf you cannot take shelter because of inclement weather, unless there is lightning and play has been suspended. I did not penalize these four members as I also witnessed other members taking shelter on the fourth hole shed. NOT ON, and if I witness again under the circumstances, I will disqualify ALL MEMBERS INVOLVED. The four members in question did not feature in the winning or rundown of the days competition. There was no raffle this week due to lack of numbers.

The weather was good, the greens were excellent and the fairways/ rough are in good condition. The scores did not match the day. Very low scores especially in Div 1. Although Div 2 were 2 to 1 in members, I could not go down far enough to give Div 1 a ball in the rundown. Always a first I suppose.
Still need a couple of players for the Pennant sides, even if they will be able to play as reserves.
Winners: Div 1. Div 2.
Darryl Davey 36 pts. Jimmy Storey 40 pts
R/up: Leon Anesbury 35 pts. Wayne Stone 38 pts.
NTPs: 2nd. Alan Simpson, Peter Edwards. 7th Jeffrey Trichter, John Dalley, 12th Jeffrey Trichter, Steve Wilkinson 16th Bob Duncan, Peter Hulett.
Pro Pin: Steve Wilkinson $67.00. Rundown to 34pts.
Happy 😆 🐣 Easter to all the members, take care on the roads if you are traveling.
