The Match Committee has been advised by Rodger Scott, head Greenkeeper, that work will be carried out on the construction of the buggy/foot bridge on the first hole on Thursday 2nd August. It is envisaged that 2 days will cover the work. Please use the temporary green that has been provided around the 150 mtr mark and when hole completed travel safely to the 2nd hole.
The new bridge on the 9th hole will be constructed on Tuesday next and all players will tee off for the 9th hole from the 18th tee for the duration of the work. Again, 2 days will be necessary to complete the work. (Weather permitting)
Please take care when progressing through these work areas and follow any instructions given by ground staff.
Please note that a new “A frame ” has been prepared which will show Daily Local Rules, and this sign will be placed in clear view before the bridge that takes you to the course. There will no longer be rules signs at the “pay in counter”.
The perfect shot was played today on the 11th hole by Nancy Douglas. Congratulations Nancy, a wonderful achievement and it sure takes care of the pin shot!!

Well at last the sun shone on our Capt v v/Pres match play event. What a glorious day to play golf, I hope all members enjoyed the day.
It turned out to be a very tight contest for the perpetual trophy with the matches coming in at 4 matches each. A total of 24 balls were given out for winners and squared matches.
NTP were as follows: 2nd Ruth Williams: 7th Marilyn Burns:
16th Cheryl Kelly. Pro Pin was won by Kaye Mills.
After presentation we enjoyed the usual ritual of dressing up, this years theme being “Your Favourite Team” There were some brave ladies in footy guernseys and there were two escapees from who knows where who turned up not knowing what team they supported. They had all sports covered – golf, footy, baseball, soccer etc. they went by the aliases of Geriatric Gertrude and Forgetful Fanny . Hope they found their way home. Another group dressed as the “long suffering and always ready ” reserves for Club Banora Pennant Team. A lot of fun and entertainment for the members.
Thankyou everyone who made today such a success, hope you all enjoyed your day as much as I did.
