After five months battle with cancer, Barry passed on Monday. Barry’s wish was to buy a drink after Monday Vets.
The service for Barry is at the Crematorium in Kirkward Road at 1pm on 29 October, next Monday.
The celebration will continue from about 2pm on the veranda next to Slice and Fork in Club Banora.
Our thoughts are with Bev and the family and they invite golfers to follow Barry’s wish to have a drink and reminisce.
The service will see ladies wearing their Club shirts and Vets are very welcome in their Vets shirts.
I have just received good news from head Greenkeeper Rodger that the course will be open tomorrow for our game. If you havn’t book, please do so as we still have spaces available.

We will have NTPs, novelty drives etc and later a light luncheon of sandwiches and chips will be served at the Island House. Raffles and Sweeps will be available and of course the running of the Cup will be shown on the TV. Cost for the day will be $22, golf and lunch for members and $25 for non members. Non players are invited to attend for lunch at a cost of $10.
Please place your money in an envelope with names In the ladies blue tin in the pro shop or contact myself to reserve your place for the day.
Sorry there was no golf today, once it starts to rain it never knows when to stop.

Twin Towns has agreed with the Golf Committee request to commence using the Club Advantage Card points system to replace Golf Club prize vouchers from January 2019.
New Club kiosks will be in operation from November which will allow members to see their points balance and the last 30 days points history.
Golfers can convert any existing voucher(s) to points at their own discretion via the main bar at Club Banora. This offer might be useful for golfers with high ($40-$50) or low ($5) valued vouchers to make them more flexible to spend. Conversion of a paper voucher will provide a look at how the transaction history kiosk works.
Member Advantage Card points can be used for food and beverage in the Club as well as paying towards membership renewals and golf cart shed hire. Points can be converted to an EFTPOS card once accumulated to $50 and used anywhere the card is accepted.
Reminder that Advantage Points expire on 24 December whether gained by spending in the Club or from prizes.
