As I write this on Sunday morning I am very thankful for the lovely day we had on Thursday . I haven’t heard of any complaints , it’s hard not to have a few little hiccups 🤣 . We have a great team and everyone on and off the committee did their bit to make it a great day for our members and our visitors!!

Thanks especially to our committee ladies for all their hard work in many different areas! I really appreciate how they just jump in and do what’s needed . Also behind the scenes our Anniversary Committee have contributed so much time and effort to make this month memorable! Next Sunday is our Grand Finale with a Medley 4 person Texas.
It will also be the end of our memorabilia room so get in and have a good look around , check out the photo albums maybe have a read of the first book of minutes it’s all part of how we evolved to what we have today : the Best and Friendliest Little Club around.
Thanks to Twin Towns for sponsoring our celebrations this made it possible for us to provide you with your lovely gift bag and for us to have a generous Invitation Day !

Thanks to Rodger and the boys for having the course ready for 8am, although I did ask for easy pin placements, what happened?!
Now to the results , the winners were Megan Williams CTH , Coral Rasmussen CB, Mary Swanson CB, Diane Frankland CTH. With 112 points . The Runners up were Maren Cooper CB, Theresa Cusack CTH, Marilyn Brown CB, Donna Soyka CTH.with 108 points .

NTP winners were: Helen Fletcher, Denise Melling, Rosie Connolly, Bev Culpitt, Theresa Cusack and Maren Cooper. With Pro Pin going to Di Frankland .

All players were given a ball so no rundown and all the visitors were given an Anniversary Ball Marker.

Then we had a lovely lunch followed by lots of raffle prizes.

No golf this Thursday , ANZAC DAY! Wishing all the marchers a fine day also!!

Coming up we have Thursday 2 nd May Monthly Medal. 9 th May Single Stableford, 16 th May Round 1 of our Championships, 21st May Round 2 and 23 rd May Round 3.

Well we finally got to play our Thursday Golf after missing 3 weeks in a row!! It was great to finally get out there. The course was looking good still a few very boggy areas , just have to keep on the fairways🤣🤣🤣.

If you missed the opening of our Memorabilia room it is going to be set up for the month a lot of work went into setting it up and finding Everything so come back and check it out!

This Thursday is our Anniversary Invitation Day , it is a shotgun start 7.30 for 8.00 am . There will be tea and coffee outside when you arrive . Could one person from each team collect the $20 from their players and pay Barry if possible. Your $20 fee includes golf, ProPin and lunch. Recheck the draw as there have been a few changes to allow for walking players to start closer to the club.

Don’t forget May 1 st is the start of our new start time 8 am is first hit off time for us Winter and summer.

Now to the results of our 2 nd Monthly Medal of the year.

Division 1 winner Nett Alison Blair with 69 she also won the gross with 81. Runner up was Marilyn Burns with 78 nett.
Division 2 winner Nett Glenda Ballard with 79 and she also won the gross with 109. Runner up was Coral Rasmussen with 81 nett.
Rundown went 82 as you can see by the scores it was not easy out there!!
Ntp winners were Liz Edwards, Coral Rasmussen, AlisonBlair andGlenda Ballard.
Winners of the putting were Alison Blair and Pauline Benny.
Winner of the Pro Pin was Denise M Culpitt.

As you already know there will be no carts allowed tomorrow Tuesday. But we can walk so come on down and join us about 9 am we can play 4 holes(1,2,8,9) or 6 holes(1,2,3,16,17,18) or we can play 9 holes but it seems like over the other side is a bit wetter. Anyhow give it a go or come and join us for a coffee about 11am.

Your Anniversary Committee

Sadly no golf to report on !! The third Thursday in a row we have missed out on our golf ! This time it was our Monthly Medal that we missed so we will try again next week. We will try and reschedule the Special sixes game to another time.
The week after is our Special Anniversary Invitation Day 18th April , let’s hope the rain is well and truly finished by then.
Plans are well under way for a great day , our committee are working hard to make sure everything runs smoothly . As you know the format is a shotgun start at 8am be there by 7.30. There will be tea and coffee available before you start.
Cost for the day will be $20 this includes golf , ProPin , lunch and a couple of drinks or a coffee and a drink! Buggy hire is extra and we will organize the buggy bookings making use of the generosity of our members who have buggies where possible.
Raffles will be on and our Memorabilia Display will be open after golf .

This Sunday 7th April is the Grand Opening of our Memorabilia Display to celebrate our clubs 40 th Birthday. No golf just a party please come along everyone is welcome Lots of interesting things from our past, some old friends , photos , videos and some refreshments.

No buggies today so competition is cancelled , Easter raffle is on see you all about 11:30

Just a reminder to everyone our EASTER Raffle is on tomorrow whatever the weather brings so if there is no golf or you aren’t playing come on down about 11:30 , have a coffee and something to eat ( we will have some light refreshments) and buy a few tickets . As you know no golf today , we hope we can play on Thursday but the Easter Raffle will still be held on Thursday about 11:30 if there is no golf , We will be there about 10.30 today if you have any Easter donations.

We had a fun day of golf today , only 28 players ?? Perfect day , light breeze not so hot . We played an Irish Fourball team of four.
The winners were: Pat Hodda, Pauline Ryan, Peggy Williams and Kaye Mills with 82 points. Runners up were : Alison Blair, Pauline Benny, Judy Mount and Marilyn Berryman with 79 points.
Three teams in the rundown. Winners of the nearest the pins were : 2nd:Nancy Douglas and Maren Cooper. 7th:Kaye Mills and Denise Melling. Pro Pin was won by Colleen Kelly $ 27.

Everyone got into the spirit of the theme and wore their green .
AGM on Saturday 2 pm. Then next week a nice simple stableford. The week after is a fourball and our Easter Raffle . The next week is Monthly Medal again and then we will be into our Anniversary Month !!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
